In the security monitoring project, need to be applied to a lot of video optical transceiver, but we use video optical transceiver in the process, often inevitable will appear some problems, then for these problems we how to detect and deal with it?
First, no video signal
1. Check whether the power supply of each device is normal.
2. Check whether the video indicator of the channel corresponding to the receiving end is on.
A: If the indicator light is on (the light indicates that the channel has video signal output at this time). Then check whether the video cable between the receiver and the monitor or DVR is properly connected and whether the video interface is loose or has virtual welding.
B: The video indicator on the receiving end is off. Check whether the video indicator on the corresponding channel at the front end is on. (It is recommended to power on the optical receiver again to ensure the synchronization of the video signal)
A: If the light is on (the light indicates that the video signal collected by the camera has been sent to the front end of the optical transceiver), check whether the optical cable is connected and whether the optical interface between the optical transceiver and the optical cable terminal box is loose. You are advised to remove and reinsert the optical fiber connector. (If the tail fiber connector is dirty, clean it with cotton alcohol and dry it before reinserting it.)
B: If the light is off, check whether the camera works normally and whether the video cable between the camera and the front-end transmitter is properly connected. Check whether the video port is loose or has virtual welding.
If the fault cannot be eliminated by the above method and there is a device of the same model, you can use the replacement inspection method (requiring interchangeability of the device), that is, connect the optical fiber to the receiver that works normally at the other end or replace the transmitter at the remote end to accurately identify the faulty device.
Video optical transceiver common problems and handling methods
Two, the screen appears interference snowflakes
This is mostly caused by excessive attenuation of optical fiber links or ac electromagnetic interference caused by excessive length of front-end video cables.
1. Check whether the tail fiber is excessively bent (especially during multi-mode transmission, the tail fiber should be stretched as far as possible and not excessively bent).
2. Check whether the connection between the optical port and the flange plate of the terminal box is connected to the reliable flange core is damaged, etc.
3. Whether the light mouth and tail fiber are too dirty, clean them with alcohol and cotton until they are dry and then insert them.
4. When laying the line, the 75-5 cable with good shielding and transmission quality should be selected as far as possible, and ac lines and other objects that are easy to cause electromagnetic interference should be avoided as far as possible.
No control signal or abnormal control signal: Check whether the data signal indicator of the optical transceiver is correct.
A. Check whether the data line is correctly connected and firm and reliable according to the data port definition in the product manual. In particular, the positive and negative poles of the control line are connected inversely.
B. Check whether the format of the control data signal sent by the control device (computer, keyboard or DVR, etc.) is consistent with the data format supported by the optical end machine (see page ** for details on data communication format), and whether the baud rate exceeds the range supported by the optical end machine (0-100kbps).
C. Check whether the data line is correctly connected and firm and reliable according to the definition of data port in the product manual. In particular, whether the positive and negative poles of the control line are connected inversely.
